New comics every Wednesday · Open till midnight
AbsoluteNo capes on the rack. Only armor.
French Leshietski's comic shop for people who like their heroes bigger, meaner and drawn with too much ink. New releases, deep Batman back issues and a pull list that never forgets you.
The shop
A concrete box full of paper and bad intentions.
Twelve hundred square feet, black steel shelves, one red light and roughly 40,000 comics. The new wall turns over every Wednesday. The long boxes in the back go all the way to 1979.
We don't do funko walls or blind-box towers. We do comics, the people who read them, and a counter where you can argue about Dragotta's inks for as long as you like.

“French had Absolute Batman #1 in a bag with my name on it before I knew it existed. Six years on the pull list and he's never missed a week.”
“Brought in my dad's long boxes. Got a fair offer, a coffee and a forty-minute history lesson on Frank Miller.”
“I walked in saying I'd only seen the movies. Walked out with Year One and Absolute Batman. Now I'm the problem.”

Absolute Batman #14 — Midnight Release
Doors at 10pm Tuesday. Red-ink store variant, a live sketch wall with local artists, and the first copies sold at 12:00:01. Costumes encouraged, capes optional.
The gas-station issue that started it.
Framed above the register · not for sale
Behind the counter
French Leshietski.
I bought my first Batman at a gas station when I was nine — issue #423, the McFarlane cover. I've been chasing that feeling ever since.
When the Absolute line dropped and Batman showed up built like a wall, swinging an axe, with nothing but his own two hands, I knew what kind of shop I wanted. No billionaire gloss. Just grit, heavy ink and a guy who shows up every week anyway.
That's the deal here. I show up every Wednesday. Your books are on the shelf. Come argue with me.

Questions at the counter
Things people ask French.
Do you hold Absolute variants?+
Yes. Pull-list members get first claim on every ratio variant we're allocated. Everything left goes on the wall Wednesday at 6pm, one per customer.
I've never read a comic. Where do I start?+
Tell French one movie you love. He'll hand you a first issue and a trade, and if you hate them you trade them back for something else. No questions.
Do you buy collections?+
We buy Bronze and Modern Age runs, Batman-family keys and full long-box lots. Bring them in Tuesday or Thursday afternoon for an honest cash or credit offer.
How late are you open?+
Wednesday until midnight because that's new comic day. Thursday to Saturday until 10pm, Sunday noon to 6pm. Monday and Tuesday we sleep.
